Post Transactions

The Post Transactions screen is used when you need to “force” post a transaction to an account, and a buy or sell on the transaction is not needed. A couple of examples of when this could be used is when a dividend was already received and only needs to be posted to participant’s accounts, or possibly an in-kind transfer came in and the participant’s account should be updated in TSM to reflect the shares were received.

 

How to access the Post Transactions screen

Click the Transactions menu, then select Post Transactions. The Post Transactions screen appears.

 

How to use the Post Transactions screen

This process should be complete once a transaction or entry has been made and the shares need to be posted to a participant’s account.

1.   Select either By Plan or By Participant.

2.   If you chose By Participant, choose the Plan at the top then find/choose the participant by clicking the ellipsis (…). If you chose By Plan, find and highlight the Plan(s) in the Available Plans box, then move the Plan(s) to the Selected Plans box by clicking the arrow (>).

3.   Enter the Process To date. This is the date the transaction was entered into TSM, which should also be the date the shares were received.

4.   Click Process. You receive a message indicating the request is in the Job Queue. You should monitor the Job Queue to ensure there are no errors.
