Change Password

Use the Change Password option to change your TSM SmartClient logon password. The password, along with the User ID and TPA, gives you access to TSM SmartClient. The next time you log on, you will need to use the new password.

Additional Information about Changing Passwords

The TPA controls additional Password Change functionality in the Setup > System > Control option. The TPA can force users to change their logon password on a regular cycle by setting the Password Expires (days) variable. In addition, the TPA can limit the frequency with which the user can repeat passwords.

 

How to Access this Option:

On the Setup menu, point to System, and then click Change Password. The Change Password window displays.

 

How to Change the Password

1.   Enter your current password in the Old Password field.

2.   Enter your new password in the New Password field.

3.   Enter your new password again in the Confirm New Password field.

4.   When you are done, click OK. You will see the following confirmation message:

Password has been changed successfully.

Click OK.

5.   Click the Close icon to close the window.
